Correct. If there was a deal the title of the thread would say: "Official: Chip Kelly named head coach". None of us are saying it is completed, we are just verifying that there is real movement with CK out there. Real contact. No one here has claimed a deal is reached yet.

I believe our Ath Director is a very smart man and will not pursue Kelly. It would be a monumental mistake.It will scar this university for a long time.
Not saying his hiring is a done deal, but if you do not think there is a serious conversation being had, you are incorrect.
His issue was a very minor one. Most feel had he simply appealed the show cause with any effort he would have won. He did not challenge it much due to his NFL move. One rogue asst coach is the only issue against him.
