He also says there are only two people that can run his offense. DW and Steve's son

I would be ok with Kelly but would prefer Frost.

Tilly.... timeframe for any news? Spurrier said 3-4 weeks.

Chip Kelly would be a damn early Christmas present! I would literally jump for joy at the thought of our offense going forward.

Chip Kelly dissected a few UGA vs AU plays live this am on Sports Center at about 8:40 am and then immediately following the segment Booger said something like "He did such a nice job with the X's and O's looks like he will be a Coach somewhere really soon"

I'm not a big Kelly fan, but I admit it's mostly because I know his flaws (recuiting, difficult personality, and if successful nfl temptations) and I can delude myself to believing Frost (and to a lesser extent norvell) have no flaws.

I also discounted Kelly since i know that Foley wouldn't have touched anybody with history of NCAA infractions. And Foley still had some influence.

But if it is Kelly, good luck. I really want to enjoy watching football again.

    Go Gators!

Is this what we really want in Gainesville?

"But Kelly said this week there’s no way he’d trade another five weeks of regular season for the “break” that usually came before he’d take the Ducks to a bowl game in January.

My schedule, the day the season was over, was a lot worse than my schedule here because you’re planes, trains and automobiles recruiting from Sunday night until Friday afternoon and hustling back and practicing, getting a practice in Friday afternoon, practice Saturday, practice Sunday, get back on a plane and fly around the country chasing down recruits,” he said, via Sheil Kapadia of PhillyMag.com. “Maybe a misconception is when you’re a college coach and the last game is done and then the bowl game comes, you don’t have a month off. I would argue my schedule was more hectic from a recruiting standpoint than it was here.

“So I’m looking forward to being in the office every day and watching tape. That is the fun part of our job.”

Kelly would rather be drawing Xs and Os or researching ways to make his team better than criss-crossing the country convincing teenagers to wear a dozen different uniforms a year."

After saying all of that do we really believe he's going to change his stripes once he lands in Gainesville? I think Kelly would be a mistake.

I still want Kelly... Spurrier didn't really enjoy recruiting either... plus we need a great coach and developer of talent... especially at quarterback.... hopefully he's announced as coach today

Coaching through the bowl game would mean that team is likely playing in a big bowl game. No coach is sticking around so he can get his guys through the Belk bowl. Makes it sound even more like Frost as they might get a NY6 game against a big time team.

I dont know man. I allowed myself to get so high on Frost that I feel a bit deflated if Kelly is hired.

But I can get behind it if he retains a top 10 class and wins 10+ games by enormous margins. That's all I ask of him. ;)

While Kelly isn’t MY 1st choice I would be excited, but wouldn’t it make sense for Kelly wait until ‘Black Monday’. To see what NFL opportunities open? Unless he understands the college ball is a better fit for him.
