Not just UAA. Coaches (their agents) do it as well. 1. Publicity, "it's all good" 2. Leverage for other contract negotiations 3. Dispersion of effort and attention and hence the number of uncomfortable questions aimed at the AD and others 4. Keep the attention manageable for 'the guy' assuming there is one at this point 5. Avoid becoming too transparent, otherwise everyone would be up in Stricklin's business 24/7 and then his wife would also have to drive 6 hours to get groceries 6. Finally, media outlets want to run with any story at all because it'll get them clicks / viewers I'm sure there are other reasons as well.
what's up brother! it was in mayport for a while, but it's in san diego now i think. was in yokosuka with the independence while i was aboard. indy got replaced by the kitty hawk as i was finishing up my hitch.
I would be perfectly alright with Kelly maybe we would actually have an offense worth a crap. Just hire a coach soon Strickland before our Recruiting class falls apart.
With Mizzou hanging 50 on the Vols with plenty of time left in the game, I expect Butch to be gone by Monday and a bidding war to ensue for Kelly. The soap opera is just getting started here. Unless....Stricklin has permission to go crazy with an offer and outbids the Vols before the bidding even gets started. What's funny though, is that the Butch Jones train wreck will still get a full buyout while coward McElwain got fired for cause. You can't make this up folks. In the great bank account wars, Butch Jones has beaten Jim McElwain.
Whoa! Last time you did this i went Facebook official on Mac getting fired and they think I’m a genious now w insides connections !
I hope your track record of information continues.....this is getting me more excited than it probably should
I don't believe it will be Chip Kelley. SOS said with %100 certainty that the coach we are getting is with his team now and will be probably for the bowl games.
Booger just dropped (Booger Mcfarland that is) A not so subtle hint on Sports Center about Chip Kelly coaching again soon.
