Update: Kelly buzz..."The Thread" Hall of Fame bound.

I took nothing from what he said. I think it's a reach if anything.

 

I'm becoming more confident that SS list is Frost, Norvell, Strong in that order. I don't think we are going to wait much longer before moving on from Frost.

 

Don't like this post from one of the Oregon fans:

Chip was a pain in the arse to the AD, AD staff, some boosters, media and others. He didn't like recruiting. He didn't like dealing with discipline issues.

If he coaches in college again, it will be interesting to see how he adjusts his offense since defenses have significantly caught up to what he was doing in his last season 5 years ago.

Sounded like a lot of posts of Gator fans here in reference to Mac - not the same issues, but the same tone. Where there is one....

 

He didn’t like recruiting. But it’s a different animal at Oregon. Travel up and down West coast, Texas, etc.

At UF you recruit Florida and Georgia and try to cherry pick a few other places.

 

You send your staff out to handle the traveling around while you bring in the kids and talk them on the phone or through SM. Don't have to travel as far.

 

If SS is after Kelly why be secretive. Kelly isn't coaching anywhere

 

Because if Kelly is first choice and he doesn’t want to come, you don’t want to give impression you got your #2 or #3 choice.

Think of it as completely opposite as when we hired Zook.

Interesting on the Frost aspect. Lot of people are certain he’s the guy.
