Well, raise my rent --- a VAX 11/780? I spent the first 25 years of my careers as a VAX/VMS applications & systems programmer . . . I still miss that wonderful operating system, and have an entire Gray Wall shelved on a bookcase in my basement. Good times.
That was my speciality at UF and my first 5 years at work...then moved over to Unix as DEC systems were relegated to just life cycle support
I used VAXA and VAXB (the dullest nodenames I ever encountered) in Weil Hall from 1982 to 1984. Before your time? Punch cards littering the hallway every night?
Unless a post contains all the facts then they should not be posted especially hear say! Example…..if we have players late for practice ect, then NAME THEM!! Unless you know the WHO and the WHY you create WILD SPECULATION. Sorry but NO change took place after your post…..the guys just repackaged it and kept right on going. Need hard boundaries in place or a dedicated thread.
Spivey has confirmed much of what was said. And as for my thread...I was told that my thread was too over the top. I am trying.
Agreed….I am good with Spivey posting, but many others are just repeating what he said, leading to excessive duplicates threads of same material and more bashing. Growls rules J and O are being broken constantly. You are not over the top……you would be following Growls guidelines. You do a great job….proud to have you. Lynch mob needs to tone it down some. Again….thank you for hearing and replying back.
Very cool. Thanks for the info. Seeing something like The Square is a rarity in cities today, and I like seeing something like that. My parents grew up in Sebring and they had The Circle. I haven't been there since the very early 70s, so I don't know if they have that anymore.
Morning, thanks for replying. I loved the Marietta Square. Had a lot of fun there when I lived in Woodstock. Took my girlfriend to the Strand to see "Casablanca" for Valentine's Day a few years back. Is Hemingway's still open?
Yes it is! Some minor changes in the stores that surround the square, but nothing dramatic. Some good fine dining to be had there!
Hey, where in N Georgia are you? I lived in Ellijay for awhile, then lived in Woodstock for almost eight years. I miss the change of seasons and the weather.
Hello UF24ou14 ! I am familiar with Ellijay I moved up to the Metro Atlanta area, from Jacksonville, to Lawrenceville back in 1991. I stayed there for almost 25. I now reside in the Cobb County, Marietta area. I still come back to see family and friends. But those are short visits.
Sorry, I just saw this. I'm up more around Johnson City. I've stopped in your area many times though going to Memphis or coming back. My oldest son went to college in Cookeville at Tennessee Tech for a year. Great town!
