He is going to give someone insane athleticism, and I hope wherever he goes the coach is able to reach him so that he understands what is necessary to reach his true potential.

Well, that answers a lot of questions about him and this past season doesn't it? NIL money saved that can be spent on talent that wants to be here and we have an additional scholarship open now.

What the heck happen? Look like a future star and ended up on the bench.
Just want Clayton to come back.

Hate to see him go because of the high ceiling he has. Having said that I think it’s for the best. There just seemed to be a disconnect and I’m not really sure it could be fixed. Lets other players know what their role will be and also allows transfer portal players to know what the depth chart will look like.

if it opens up nil to dole out to current and future players so much the better. Good luck to Riley and hope he has great success, unless playing against the Gators.

NBA body, NBA athleticism, but until he wakes up one day and puts it all together mentally, it won’t matter where he is. Hope the change gets him going in the right direction because that’s one hell of a skill set to waste.

Not unexpected, but sucks that we'll miss out if he ever figures things out and realizes his potential.

That said, I predict with portal Todd it will effectively be addition by subtraction as we'll be able to grab someone who can more reliably be counted on for 12-15 point contributions per game immediately.

the separation between what was needed for the team and what he felt was best was Grand Canyon-esque. He would wow us all occasionally and we all often overlooked his rough spots: ball security and shot selection being paramount in those rough spots. I hope he's able to find a coach who can hone those rough edges and he has a successful career.

Sometimes a great player is not a great fit and a change of scenery helps both parties.
    Good luck RK.

If this helps the light turn on and remain on then I am all for it. Best wishes for you going forward, unless you are playing us.;)

I don't think he's a selfish player but I do think he happened to be the most selfish on this particular team and that made it a bad fit.

Not at all surprised. He wanted to carry more minutes and it’s not looking like it’s gonna happen at Fla for him. Hope he does well somewhere else. Just hoping he doesn’t go to another SEC team and come back to bite us.

I’m not mad at Riley. Good luck to him. He was too good to come off the bench this year and certainly shouldn’t next year. I’m not saying he should have started at UF this year, but he should be starting somewhere. I hope he finds success outside of the SEC.

    I’ll be rooting for him.

Best of luck to Riley. I really thought he was as talented as anybody at UF since Bradley Beal. Hopefully he can get right with another team (that's not a rival).

I too want him to succeed and reach his potential. His first year he was the only bullet in the gun which made it tougher for him this year. Like Golden said, "basketball is a team sport" and this year we had many weapons which was apparently hard for him to reconcile.
