Yep. I was thinking of Craig Brown as well. I had great expectations for the '95 team but the loss of Brown's 3-point shooting, headiness, and leadership was big. As BD liked to say, the line between success and failure in basketball is very fine.
I want this guy not just because 40% from 3 last year, 7 assists per game, etc etc But because UK fans want this guy. Like really bad. And I really want them to seethe at losing yet another recruiting battle this year. Probably a dream with our current backcourt tho. But we'll see.
Marti Kuisma was a bit of an X-factor shooting the three ball and we lost him as well. Da Meat Hook, AD and Svein D were not threats from deep. Marti with just his presence a the three point line could stretch a D. Sometimes a tiny piece of the puzzle is really important.
They have up until 10 days before the draft to withdraw. If they don’t participate in the combine, this would be the last day to decide to come back to college. If either are invited to the combine and participate, they have until the monday after the draft to decide IF they go undrafted. If they’re drafted, they have to go.
