Brandon Wilkinson is yet another Division I prospect out of Venice High. He’s a rock solid strong side defensive end, the team has three high grade DEs in Wilkinson, Beckett Wales and Clay Burton. All are mentioned as DE/TE prospects in recruiting chewing circles.

Wilkinson stands 6-4 1/2, weighs in at 220 and was a Second Team 5A All-State DL selection last fall. He has a 3.9 gpa and an offer from Minnesota. Expect more offers to come his way this fall. He’s being looked at as a DE/TE prospect at the next level, has 4.7 speed but looks and plays faster.

Wilkinson had 10 sacks, five QB hurries, two fumble recoveries and a blocked kick to go with 55 tackles. He reminds this man a bit of Clint Mitchell who had long arms and was very good with the body lean and extending those arms to make plays. Wilkinson has great hands and that never give up grit every coach loves to see in his defensive ends.
